Well, I’ve done it. 2014 is over and I can say I’ve survived a full calendar year of being a parent. What a year it’s been! Easily one of the best.
Last year was a big one. Jack turned one and we celebrated this milestone at home with all our friends and family, we went on our first overseas holidays as a family of 3 (with my amazing sister-in-law in tow), Jack was christened and I started working again after 8 months off. I’ve spent lots of quality time with my family and made many new friends.
This latter half of this year has also bought several pregnancy announcements from dear friends and I can’t wait to celebrate the arrival of more precious babies in 2015.
New years resolutions, I’ve found people either love them or hate them. I personally love the idea of setting goals for a new year. If you achieve them, great! If you don’t, well, life is always going to be a work in progress.
My goals for 2015;
Another family holiday with as many of my loved ones as possible.
Run a race – whether that be a 15km or 21km. Preferably with a personal best time.
Support my husband in completing his Masters and cheer the loudest at his graduation ceremony (is that what they call them?)
Fall pregnant. I’m not 100% sure when, but at some point next year. I can’t wait to experience pregnancy again. I truly loved it the first time around.
And lastly, to my dearest Jack,
My greatest reason for living and the reason for this blog, I love you more than you can possibly comprehend. I have loved every minute of being your Mummy in 2014 and I can’t wait to share another year watching you grow. If I was given $1 every time I’ve kissed you, I could buy the world. I look forward to every day with you. Daddy and I adore you.
Love, Mummy xx
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a kiss at midnight or were surrounded by loved ones xx
